Overview

EC 2 Central unit with 1-wire gateway for demanding smart home and smart building applications, building automation. A powerful interface between sensor technology and many automation systems and software applications.

Description

The EC 2 central processing unit is designed for demanding applications for autonomous management of a 1-Wire network. You no longer need to worry about 1-Wire commands or formulas for evaluating the sensor data. The gateway independently scans the 1-Wire network for devices (sensors and actuators).

The EC 2 Sensor Gateway outputs the sensor and actuator data ready prepared cyclically, e.g. for temperature sensors in C°. For scaling, it is only necessary to divide by 100. The article number for ESERA modules can also be entered; the calculation and output are adapted to the function of the module

The 1-Wire interface of the EC 2 Sensor Gateway is specially designed to safely operate even large 1-Wire networks with long cable runs. Mixed 1-Wire sensors can be operated simultaneously in parasitic or normal mode. The most powerful 1-Wire interface currently available has been installed for maximum data security, even for complex network structures.

DATA LOGGER (OPTIONAL): If the data connection to the host system is interrupted, no measured values are lost. The EC2 central unit contains a data logger for storing the sensor data. The current time is also saved to ensure that the data is saved at the correct time

The EC 2 central unit has a wide-range input of 15 - 30VDC for the power supply and is equally suitable for smart home and typical industrial 24VDC supplies. You can find suitable DIN rail power supplies in our webshop
