Description

1-Wire Hub III DC, central power supply and distribution for the 1-Wire network with 24VDC input voltage.

The 1-Wire Hub III DC is the central module for building a 1-Wire network.
The 1-Wire Hub III DC supplies the 1-Wire network with 5V and 12V voltage and distributes the 1-Wire data line. 1-Wire Hub III DC can be ideally combined with a 1-Wire bus coupler (USB, Ethernet or serial) or 1-Wire controller.

The input voltage of the 1-Wire Hub III DC is nominally 24VDC (18-36VDC) and is therefore especially suited for system environments with DC voltage supply, such as PLC controls.

The EC 1 Smart Home central unit/gateway is designed for autonomous management of a 1-Wire network. The user doesn't need to worry about any 1-Wire commands or formulas for evaluating sensor data. The EC1 gateway autonomously scans the 1-Wire network for components (sensors, actuators, keys). The central unit internally evaluates sensor and actuator data and cyclically outputs it in plain text, already converted (e.g., for temperature sensors in Celsius). Additionally, the article number for ESERA modules can be entered, and the calculation and output are adjusted to the module's function. A wide range of sensors is available, such as temperature, humidity, dew point, air quality (CO2, VOC, or particulate matter), digital alarm contacts, glass break, and smoke detectors. Active termination for 1-Wire networks In a 1-Wire network, the 1-Wire Term 1 provides a defined termination at the end of the 1-Wire network, thus ensuring a stable and professional 1-Wire network. The 1-Wire Term 1 is therefore a basic component of every 1-Wire network. The module contains a passive and active terminating resistor and a signaling of bus activity. The active termination (1-Wire Term 1) is highly recommended to increase the maximum line length and improve the system stability of the 1-Wire network, especially for long 1-Wire lines and for a star or tree topology setup. In a 1-Wire network, up to 3 1-Wire Term 1 modules can be connected. The 1-Wire Term 1 is very compact and can be ideally installed in a flush-mounted box. The ESI 400 4-fold digital input module makes it easy to query push-buttons, switches or reed contacts (magnetic switches). For example, the status of doors, windows, fire dampers or a garage door can be recorded by simply installing a reed switch at a suitable location and connecting it to the DI module. The status LED flashes when there are signal changes at the inputs. Even short switching pulses, e.g. from buttons, are detected by the ESI 400 module and stored until the next readout cycle. The ESI 400 4-fold DI module can be connected directly to switches or push-buttons. No external power supply is required for the switches. The module can be supplied with a 5V - 12V operating voltage.
