Power supply - 1-Wire Hub

The 1-Wire Hubs (IV DC or III DC) are the central modules to build a 1-Wire Network.

Application:

  • They supply 1-Wire components with 5VDC and 12VDC voltage, which decouples the voltage of the 1-Wire input and distributes the 1-Wire data line. 
  • The hubs can be ideally combined with a 1-Wire Bus Coupler (USB, Ethernet or serial) or 1-Wire Controller 1 and 1-Wire Controller 2.
  • The input voltage of the 1-Wire Hubs is specially designed for system environments with DC voltage supply, such as PLC control systems.

Equipment / Function:

  • Central power supply of the 1-Wire Network and 1-Wire Distribution
  • LED display for power and 1-Wire activity

 

1-Wire Repeater for long cable strands

The 1-Wire Repeater is used for amplification or regeneration of data signals in 1-Wire Networks.

Application:

  • By using repeaters, a 1-Wire Network can be expanded and a significant increase in network stability can be achieved.
  • Especially recommended for networks with  "star structure".

Equipment Function:

  • The repeater is simply switched into a 1-Wire cable.
  • No software is required for the 1-Wire Repeater.

1-Wire Hub III DC, central power supply
1-Wire Hub III DC, central power supply and distribution for the 1-Wire network with 24VDC input voltage. The 1-Wire Hub III DC is the central module for building a 1-Wire network. The 1-Wire Hub III DC supplies the 1-Wire network with 5V and 12V voltage and distributes the 1-Wire data line. 1-Wire Hub III DC can be ideally combined with a 1-Wire bus coupler (USB, Ethernet or serial) or 1-Wire controller. The input voltage of the 1-Wire Hub III DC is nominally 24VDC (18-36VDC) and is therefore especially suited for system environments with DC voltage supply, such as PLC controls. Active termination for 1-Wire networks In a 1-Wire network, the 1-Wire Term 1 provides a defined termination at the end of the 1-Wire network, thus ensuring a stable and professional 1-Wire network. The 1-Wire Term 1 is therefore a basic component of every 1-Wire network. The module contains a passive and active terminating resistor and a signaling of bus activity. The active termination (1-Wire Term 1) is highly recommended to increase the maximum line length and improve the system stability of the 1-Wire network, especially for long 1-Wire lines and for a star or tree topology setup. In a 1-Wire network, up to 3 1-Wire Term 1 modules can be connected. The 1-Wire Term 1 is very compact and can be ideally installed in a flush-mounted box. Linear Topology The structure corresponds to the linear topology with the difference that the slaves are connected to the main line via cables with a length of more than 3m (branch, stub).   Star or tree topology The network is divided into several large strings at or near the 1-Wire bus coupler / 1-Wire controller /1-Wire hub (bus master).
