LoRaWAN
LoRaWAN ist ein kabelloses Netzprotokoll. Das LoRaWAN wurde für große, öffentliche Netze mit einem einzigen Betreiber konzipiert. Es zielt auf wichtige Anforderungen des Internet of Things (IoT), wie bidirektionale Kommunikation, Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung, Mobilität und Lokalisierungsdienste ab. LoRaWAN wurde entwickelt, um batteriebetriebene "Dinge" drahtlos mit dem Internet in regionalen, nationalen oder globalen Netzwerken zu verbinden. Die Netzwerkarchitektur ist typischerweise sternförmig ausgeführt. Mit der Installation eines Funkmoduls in Form eines LoRa-Gateways können Daten rund um die Uhr von jedem beliebigen Standort aus abgefragt werden. LoRa Gateways sind Funkmodule, welche als Schnittstelle innerhalb eines LoRa-Netzwerkes zwischen einem Server und den Endgeräten dienen.
