Description

RFID Reader according to 1-Wire Bus, RFID - iButton reader
iButton, security and authentication system on 1-Wire basis

Contactless reader unit for reading RFID* cards or keys via the 1-Wire bus.

RFID cards are read like normal iButton keys via 1-Wire bus. Each RFID card or key has a unique and uniquely assignable serial number. The only difference is that the RFID's are interrogated wirelessly.
The RFID reader is intended for permanent installation in machines, doors or devices. Ideally suited as an access system for front doors or secure areas in companies and public authorities.
The data transfer between RFID card or key and the 1-Wire bus is serial. Only three wires with a power supply, data and ground line are required.

Software

Like all 1-Wire and iButton components, each RFID tag has a unique and unambiguous serial number.
Compared to standard iButton, the data transfer is contactless. As with all 1-Wire modules, several reader units can be operated on one 1-Wire bus.
The RFID reader has the following 1-Wire commands:
- Read Rome, 33h
- Search Rom, F0h

The number of the RFID tags is transmitted as follows:
CRC (1 byte), 0x00, serial number with 5 bytes, Family Code 01h (DS1990)

Hint:
No series resistors are required for the LEDs. To switch on an LED, only the corresponding cable must be connected to GND.
