The 1-Wire Controller 1 enables the connection of inexpensive 1-Wire sensors/modules with all types of µcontrollers, PLC or PC systems without special knowledge of the 1-Wire protocol.

1-Wire Bus to Serial RS232

Controller 1 is the autonomous management of 1-Wire devices in a 1-Wire network, automatically detecting new 1-Wire devices and cyclically supplying the current values. The output is formatted as ASCII characters and sent via the computer interface to the higher-level control system. For example, temperature sensors provide you with the temperature in plain text.
The device has extensive configuration and formatting options, which are read and operated via terminal program (e.g. HTerm or Putty).

Up to 30 1-Wire devices can be operated in parasitic and standard mode. The 1-Wire interface is designed for operation with small to large 1-Wire networks.

Active termination for 1-Wire networks In a 1-Wire network, the 1-Wire Term 1 provides a defined termination at the end of the 1-Wire network, thus ensuring a stable and professional 1-Wire network. The 1-Wire Term 1 is therefore a basic component of every 1-Wire network. The module contains a passive and active terminating resistor and a signaling of bus activity. The active termination (1-Wire Term 1) is highly recommended to increase the maximum line length and improve the system stability of the 1-Wire network, especially for long 1-Wire lines and for a star or tree topology setup. In a 1-Wire network, up to 3 1-Wire Term 1 modules can be connected. The 1-Wire Term 1 is very compact and can be ideally installed in a flush-mounted box.
